Internship: Sarah Scoop

For my senior semester-long internship, I was a journalism intern at Sarah Scoop a blog site based out of Kansas City. Sarah Scoop is a women-created and run site that specializes in blogging about lifestyle, recipes, and entertainment. There I wrote and edited over 50 articles as well as provided help in planning as needed by the company. I was able to learn and experience the environment of a blog site as it differs greatly from the news writing environment and practices I was used to. I learned how to write and edit blog articles with a new understanding of how they should be written and appeal to the site’s audiences. This was also my first full-time remote work experience!
